About Me

I have worked for the NHS in the Emergency Services for over 13 years. I continue to do this but have recently reduced my hours so that I can teach Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP).

What does ‘Paikea’ mean?

Paikea (pronounced Pi-Key-A) is a character from Maori legend who rode on the back of a whale. I learned about Paikea from the film ‘Whale Rider’ when I was travelling in New Zealand and fell in love with the story. (Paikea is also the Maori word for ‘humpbacked whale’.)

Feedback from my customers
